Some believe that dreamers and dreams are useless
Lazy, ridiculous, naive. Waste of time, silly, childish.
I believe that dreamers and dreams are powerful
Powerful enough to touch people’s hearts. To inspire these people to take action. To change the world.
Just like Arthur O’Shaughnessy said:
“We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams.
World-losers and world-forsakers,
Upon whom the pale moon gleams;
Yet we are the movers and shakers,
Of the world forever, it seems.”
Dreaming, drawing, and writing
That’s how I’ve spent most of my life.
I was the quiet girl with a small voice and a big imagination.
Yet, because of this sick belief that dreamers and dreams are useless, and because of my own doubts and fears, I’ve also spent most of my life thinking that something was terribly wrong with me.
But not anymore.
Now I’m here to speak up. To keep on dreaming. To share these dreams.
Will you join me?
